Vintage 20th century, silk embroidered Obi Sash. Obi is a traditional Japanese belt/sash that were wrapped tightly around the waist of the kimono and tied in an elaborate knot. The obi is made with silk and metallic golden tread. The obi is covered in a repeated pattern of chrysanthemums. 
 
The obi is in very good condition, some of the metallic thread is coming up on the back. Very minimal.
