Vintage 20th century, silk embroidered Nagoya Obi Sash. Obi is a traditional Japanese belt/sash that were wrapped tightly around the waist of the kimono and tied in an elaborate knot. The Nagoya Obi is the most common type of Obi, it was best for everyday wear and casual occasions. The Obi displays a beautiful cream colored silk background with fan and chrysanthemum flowers designs. 
 
The Obi has some staining and discoloration from wear.
