This glazed ceramic tile piece is a rendition of Femme sous la lune, the original piece by Panos Valsamakis. One of Greece's most iconic contemporary ceramicists, Valsamakis often drew on folklore and femininity to inspire his design, seen here to beautiful effect.
 
Features Valsamakis' unique pottery mark in lower right corner. Its wooden frame (1/3" x 1/3") is in great condition, with metal hardware set into the wooden backboard for hanging.
