This two-piece Ottoman belt buckle dates back to the 19th century. It is a historical antique item that likely holds cultural and aesthetic significance. In the former Ottoman Empire, large and elaborate belt buckles/waist clasps were a very popular in a woman's dowry. This mixed metal belt buckle is ornately done featuring metal work of natural motifs. The center of the buckle has a green stone. A pin with a circle loop can be pulled out and the belt buckle will be in two pieces.

The buckle shows some signs of wear due to use and age. The stone has some scratches.
