An original Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786-1864) Japanese woodblock print of Ichimura Uzaemon in the role of Yamanaya Hansai (1851). This is an interesting kabuki scene of Ichimura Uzaemon XII as Yamanaya Hansai, standing in a gate in a black fence, holding a money bag in his outstretched hand. He looks over his shoulder with a worried expression, a blue cloth draped over his striped kimono. Snow fall heavily, blanketing the pine branches overhead.
 
A handsome design, nicely composed. Print is signed and sealed in good condition.
