Towards the left of the Shou character is Budai, the laughing Buddha, he symbolizes contentment and abundance. Scattered throughout the textile are The 8 Daoist Immortals including; He Xiangu, Li Tieguai, Zhongli Quan (Han Zhongli), Lu Dongbin, Han Xiangzi, Cao Guo Jiu, Zhang Guolao, and Lan Caihe. The piece is full of lotus flowers, peonies, and bats symbolizing good fortune, happinesss, and longevity. Lastly is the stricking rainbow ground, an auspicious ground, which good fortune rises.
