The product is a Japanese painted and embroidered Fukusa on silk from the 19th/20th century. The scene maybe from The Tale of Genji, which was a classic noval from the 11th century. Fukusas were used has gift coverings/wrappings, which were then returned back to the owner. The piece is in perfect condition. The frame has some wear.
