The product is a Japanese Meiji period handpainted and embroidered Fukusa of Tennin. This antique piece from around 1880 showcases traditional Japanese craftsmanship and artistry, with intricate handpainted and embroidered details depicting a scene of Tennin. A Tennin is a heavenly maiden from Buddhist art. She has wings and a flowing scarf which makes her appear divine and ethereal. The lotus flower represents purity and enlightenment.
