Ikebana is the Japanese art of arranging flowers. Ikebana originated in ancient Japan and is still practiced today. Flowers and other natural elements, such as evergreens, are arranged in such a way to embody harmony, peace, and beauty.

The sides of the brass bowl have a vertical X pattern with horizontal straight lines running through. The bottom of the bowl looks to have a woven pattern. The patterns are raised, creating a 3-dimensional effect. The maker’s mark is present on the bottom of the bowl. The bowl is also supported by three feet.

The piece is in good condition with some patina.
