The Mitsu Uroko crest is strongly associated with the Hōjō clan, which were one of the mostt powerful samurai families in medieval Japan. This item features traditional Japanese motifs such as ships, pavilions, and cranes, symbolizing aspects of Japanese culture and design. Fukasas were used as gift wrapping when presenting gifts, they were then returned to the owner who intially gave the gift. The intricate detailing and the inclusion of the Hōjō Clan crest add to the historical and cultural significance of this piece, making it a valuable addition to any collection of Asian antiques.

 
The textile is in good condition. The sides of the textile have come undone. There is osme wear where the piece has been pinned.
