The Japanese 5 Fan Meiji ca. 1880 Handpainted and Embroidered Fukusa is a beautiful and intricate piece of antique decor. This unique item features handpainted and embroidered designs on five separate fans, showcasing traditional Japanese craftsmanship and artistry. Each fan depicts a different landscape including; Mount Fuji with cranes, pines, cherry blossoms, turtles in the sea, and bamboo.  Fukusas were used to wrap gifts for formal occasions and then returned to the owner. Perfect for collectors or those looking to add a touch of Asian elegance to their home, this Fukusa embodies the beauty and culture of Japan from the late 19th century.

 
The piece is in good condition. It does has some tears twards the edges and in the middle from age and use.
