The painting depicts a shady green scene with bright flowers peeking out from underneath the darker vegetation. The painting is signed and bears Tseng-Ying Pang. The painting is full of blue and greens, creating a moody yet serene feeling radiating from the painting. 
 
Tseng-Ying Pang (1916-1997) was born in Tokyo, Japan but grew up in China. He studied calligraphy at a very early age and began painting at the age of 8 years old. He studied at the Bejing Jinghiu institute and Nippon University.  He went to Taiwan in 1949 and taught at the Taipei National Arts College and Fuhsing School of Arts and Crafts. In 1954 he had a solo exhibition in New York City where he attracted notice in the art community. In 1966, he settled in the United States where he resided for the rest of his life. He had more 50 one man shows during his career and his works are shown in museums all over the world.
 
The painting is in good condition. The mat board shows some water damage. The frame has minor wear.
