Enid Kaplan (1954-2002) was a jeweler, sculptor and mixed-media artist. She has been widely published in books and magazines. She also has a permanent collection at the Museum of Art and Design in New York City and le Musee des beaux-arts de Montreal. She is known for her unique and modern designs which feature abstract shapes and asymmetrical compositions.
This is an Enid Kaplan necklace with pendant brooch from 1978. The circular pendant features a geometric pattern consisting of silver, gold, and brass colors. The piece also has a moon stone. The pendant is able to come off the string chain and transform into a pendant with a pin. The back of the pendant brooch is engraved with Enid Kaplan, 1978, Sterling 14K and is stamped Sterling.
The necklace is in good condition with some signs of age and wear.Dimensions: 11" X 2"
