This is a fine iron Tsuba from the Edo period. A figure, in a beautifully decorated kimono, sits off the the right side. The Tsuba features flowers and bugs, done in gold and silver inlay. Copper inlay is seen on the rocks, located towards the bottom. The reverse side depicts a rocky landscape, with gold foliage surrounding it.

The piece is in good condition with only minor wear appropriate with age and use.
