James or Jim Grover Tarver worked for Barnum and Baily Circus starting in 1914. He was 8'4" tall and weighed 460 pounds. The large ring, which is engraved with J.G Tarver Texas Giant, was a souvenir sold at the circus which apparently was the same ring size Tarver wore. The sides of the ring have a floral pattern. This is a great and fun collectable piece for circus and history lovers. 
 
The ring is in good condition with some signs of wear.
