A Burmese Sutra leaf from a Buddhist prayer book originating from the Shwedagon Temple in Myanmar (Burma). The leaf contains  Buddhas and is part of a larger collection of prayers used for worship. This item holds significance in the context of Buddhism and is a collectible piece with cultural and spiritual importance. The piece was purchased at the Mingun in Mandalay, Burma, but the piece comes from the Shwedagon Temple in Yangon. The temple is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Myanmar and one of the most revered Buddhist sites in the world. The leaf is matted and framed in order to preserve the piece. 
 
The piece shows signs of wear and age, mainly on the sides of the leaf, but is well preserved in the matting and framing.
