20th Century, Madura, Indonesia, carved deer antler Janggelan from keris handle. The handle is in a stylized carving of a corn cob like tree shape. The handle has been carved in a cross diagonal incised pattern to create the blossoms and the surface has been polished smooth. 
 
The handle has a warm brown patina and is in good condition.
