20th century, Bail, Indonesia, carved wood figure keris handle depicting a demon figure. The handle has a small carved figure of a demon with fangs, and bulging eyes. The handle also has nicely carved incised decorative details. The wood color is a rich dark brown with stripes black. 
 
The piece is finely sanded and is in good condition.
