20th century, Bali, Indonesia, carved wood figurative keris handle depicting Ganesha. Ganesha is the Hindu god recognizable by his elephant’s head. Ganesha is the deity of arts and science and intellect and wisdom. The handle is finely carved in details of the figure’s costume and headdress. The handle is undrilled. The wood patina is a dark reddish brown. 
 
It has one crack at the edge of the bottom and is missing one tiny tip of the tusk. Again, the handle is undrilled.
