This 19th century Tibetan manuscript page appears to be old with frayed edges. The illuminated manuscript painting above it is in very good condition and appears to be 20th century. The painting depicts Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of essential patience and fortitude. The Buddha of 11 heads and 1,000 arms is painted with the shape of a lotus blossom. He is flanked by 4 attendants bearing the heavy roots and tendrils of the lotus. This painting is also detailed with snow capped mountain peaks in the background. 
 
This piece is framed and matted with hanging hardware on the back. Some markings can be seen on the outer part of the frame.
