This unique piece is a 19th century brass powder flask from South India. The flask would have held gunpowder. The piece has a beautiful and intricate design, providing contrast and texture to the smooth flask. The flask is quite round in shape and narrows down towards the bottom, almost coming to a point. 
 
The flask is missing its lid, has some tarnishing and some minor dents due to age and wear. There is also, what looks to be, white paint on one of the sides.
