These hats were designed to protect the child from sickness, ward off evil spirits, and imbue the child with important qualities like wealth, health, courage, intelligence, happiness, long life, grace, and beauty. The front of the hat displays the face of a black tiger and the top features the face of a green dragon. The dragon displays a huge grin with his tongue sticking out. The dragon has a frog on his tongue, which is a symbol of good luck, wealth, and prosperity. The back of the hat has a string of green/teal colored tassels. The tiger also has it tongue sticking out and two ears pointed up. The hat is full of incredible embroidery work and detail.   
 
The hat shows signs of age and wear, with some of the material frying.
