This 19th century Indian katar dagger features a steel scissor blade with a horizontal "H" shaped guard and a chevron shaped shoulder. The blade has two hollow halves covering it that separate to reveal a solid blade underneath with a trigger that operates the opening of the outer covering. The handle and blade show silvered designs on both sides. Some oxidation can be seen on the surface.
 
The piece is in good condition. Needs some oiling. Some oxidation.
