This 19th/20th century curved flyssa-type tribal sword is most likely from Morocco or Algeria. The blade is engraved with symbols and dots on both sides. The handle is made of large flat camel bone and is inlayed with a twisted wire design (some of the wire has lifted) and carved pointed star shapes. The handle and blade show heavy use, and the stitched leather covering of the wood sheath is worn and frayed.
