This antique bronze Hamsa bird opium weight is a stunning piece of art from Thailand's Late 18th/Early 19th century. The bird is known as Hamsa or Shan Duck. The intricate details of the bronze material make it a valuable addition to any antique collection. The piece is smooth and very well done. The bird is plump with its head tucked in. Its beak is flat and pointed. The bird rests upon a rounded base. It is an original antique piece and is not a reproduction. There is a verification/hallmark on the side of the base.

The weight is in good condition with some beautiful patina.
