This is an elegant French Limoges scenic, leaf shaped, dish from the 19th Century. The dish depicts an interior scene with a lavishly dressed woman, seated on a velvet chair, reading a book. The woman wears a beautiful Rococo style dress, made of silver and blue foil adorned with enamel flowers. Red foil can even be seen on the book she is holding. The shiny foils help the woman stand out from the muted colored background.  The dish is made from bronze and resembles a leaf. The metal handle on top of the dish is in the shape of a French decorative style scroll. The dish's glass is cracked in multiple places and missing a couple pieces of glass.
