This fine little lacquer box is covered in a ground of rich brown lacquer with a sprinkling of tiny silver flakes and silver edges. It is decorated with delicate painted fans of differing scenes; little boat in the reeds, a royal palace surrounded by cherry trees, gold chrysanthemums blossoms.
