This beautiful gilded lacquer Inro is in amazing condition, with beautiful relief carvings depicting dragons and clouds on either side. The design features polychrome details in red, ebony, and gold throughout. Opens easily, with a lovely patina and texture in each segment. 


An inro 印籠, is a traditional Japanese case for holding small objects, suspended from the obi worn around the waist when wearing kimono. They are often highly decorated with various materials such as lacquer and various techniques such as maki-e, and are more decorative than other Japanese lacquer ware.
