About Our Company

A leading jeweler and art business with 40 years of experience is seeking full-time (5 days a week, some Saturdays) employees. We are a three-tier business that deals in internet sales, antique shows held throughout the U.S., and our brick and mortar store that specialize in custom, classic and antique jewelry, jewelry repair, and consignments. We also have a gallery that sells Asian, ancient, and fine art.

JEWELER

Skills/Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have jewelry experience with a working knowledge of gemstones, diamonds, and gold/silver/platinum.


Preferred skills: proficient in all styles of stone setting, sizing, polishing, repair work, laser work, wax carving.

Experience with Jewelry Shopkeeper, ordering parts, designing jewelry, changing watch batteries, and/or shop knowledge is a plus.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary for this position commensurate with experience in the range of $20-$30/hr with additional commission.

JEWELRY SALES ASSOCIATE

Skills/Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have jewelry sales experience with a working knowledge of gemstones, diamonds, and gold/silver/platinum. This is mainly a sales associate position; however, all employees help in assisting the owner with writing up repair jobs, estate buys, inventory, and office work. The candidate must also possess proficiency in Microsoft Office. The candidate will be a self-motivated team player, energetic with a positive attitude, and be able to maintain client relations.

 

Experience with Jewelry Shopkeeper, ordering parts, designing jewelry, changing watch batteries, and/or shop knowledge is a plus.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary for this position commensurate with experience in the range of $15-$18/hr with additional commission.

GALLERY ASSOCIATE

Skills/Knowledge

The Gallery Associate is responsible for assisting with the cataloguing and preparing of consigned and owned property across our four categories: jewelry, textiles, Asian art, and pre-Columbian art for online, in store, and exhibition sale channels.

In addition, this position also works closely under the supervision of General Manager to assist with consignor inventory and relationship management. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Well versed in eCommerce, including sales on social media, Wix and eBay

  • Ability to create content within the company voice and framework

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledgeable and interested in art and art history

  • Loves organizing, great attention to detail.

  • Ability to pivot throughout the workday

  • Experience in data entry

  • Experience in art handling and art photography, especially 3D art objects

  • Enthusiastic communicator, congenial co-working attitude

  • Jewelry knowledge a plus

  • Sales Experience

  • Ability to travel to local exhibitions, as needed.
