Sales Associates

Haig’s of Rochester is looking for sales professionals to work in our unique downtown Rochester location. A leading jeweler in downtown for nearly forty years, Haig's of Rochester Fine Jewelry specialize in custom, classic and antique jewelry.  We are currently looking for motivated, experienced salespeople in either full or part time positions.  Some night and weekend hours are required.  The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:  

• Self-motivated team player
• Proven consultative sales track record
• Superior customer service skills
• Multi-tasking abilities
• General to skilled computer knowledge
• Three (3) year minimum jewelry sales experience
• Diamond and precious stone knowledge
• Ability to effectivley handle incoming repairs
• Graduate gemologist a plus.

Gallery Associate

Haig’s of Rochester is looking for a gallery associate to work in our unique downtown Rochester location. A leading jeweler and art dealer in downtown for nearly forty years, Haig's of Rochester Fine Jewelry specialize in custom, classic and antique jewelry, as well as antique Asian, European and South American art.  We are currently looking for motivated, experienced associate for a part time positions.  Some night and weekend hours are required.  The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:  

• Self-motivated team player
• Superior customer service skills
• Multi-tasking abilities
• General to skilled computer knowledge
• Proficient in MS Office computer programs
• Skilled at using Photoshop to clean up images
• Skilled at taking photos of art and jewelry
• Knowledge of Asian, Pre-Columbian and European art a plus
• Knowledge of an Asian language a plus
• Experience with web-based e-comm
• Three (3) year minimum jewelry sales experience
• Diamond and precious stone knowledge
• Ability to effectivley handle incoming repairs
• Graduate gemologist a plus.

 Textile Restorer

Haig's of Rochester is looking for a textile restorer/conservator in our antiquities gallery. The position is part-time. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Highly skilled at hand sewing
• Sharp eye for detail
• Innovative and willing to try new techniques
• Problem solver
• Self motivated team player
• Experience with various textiles, especially antique textiles -- over 50 years of age.
• Knowledge of proper handling of antique items
• Previous museum conservation experience a plus
