Now, our tradition of fine artisanship has taken an evolutionary step. Haig's of Rochester is pleased to announce that we have acquired the latest jewelry-making technology: GemVision, a software and CAD/CAM computer system that can create virtual jewelry in three-dimensional format and a milling machine that can cut to perfection any design into nearly any jewelry medium.

With GemVision, you and our designers can:

• Begin with a scanned pencil drawing or build a basic design right before your eyes on the computer screen;
• Make alterations and add gems and other design elements instantly;
• Choose the parameters with a designer and the software does the rest.Machine

The final 3-D image is then converted and transferred to our milling machine, which cuts the design to perfection.

This evolutionary design capability can capture the most exquisite and intricate detail. For example, we can capture a logo on a business card and turn it into any style of jewelry, or scan a child's picture and engrave the image perfectly onto a charm. Use one basic element from an existing piece to design a complete jewelry ensemble. The possibilities are endless.
